Lucy McLachlan

Studio Director

Lucy is the founder and owner of The Studio Kiama. Immersed in the dance world for 20+ years, Lucy has over a decade of experience as a teacher and studio manager. Lucy completed her full time ballet training with Classé Ballet Academy in 2012, studying under Susan Wuele, Azure Dixon and Garth Welch, former principal with the Australian Ballet. Lucy continued teaching throughout university and her corporate career. She then moved to the business management space, and opened her own consultancy working with small, creative businesses, including studios.

In opening The Studio we hope to bring together a collective of dancers, artists and instructors to create a diverse, functional and creative space.

Lucy's loves bringing the joy of dance to her classes and teaches with a balance between the technical and the creative.

Kell Silver

Head Dance Teacher

Kell is a commercially focused dance teacher and a prolific choreographer, with over a decade teaching experience in dance studios and public schools along the south coast. Kell is constantly creating and choreographing to ensure his classes are fresh, fun, confidence building and creatively challenging. .

Kell trained with the NSW Aboriginal Public Schools Dance Company, studying under Bangarra Dance Theatre and performing Bangarra repertoire. Kell has performed at the Netball World Cup, the Swans Pride Game, the State Dance Festival and the Bangarra Dance Theatre 20-year celebration.

Kell is a working dancer in the industry, always striving to expand his dance knowledge and bring this back into the studio for his students.
